Civil Partnership Act 2004 (Amendments to Subordinate Legislation) Order 2005 comes into force

Implementation date: 5 December 2005

The amendments introduced by the Order include amending the Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2003 to ensure that the status of a civil partner is comparable to that of a spouse and amending the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003 so that civil partners are included within the definition of connected persons for the purposes of these Regulations.
