Social Security Benefits Up-rating Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 come into force

Implementation date: 11 April 2011

The Regulations restrict the application of the increases set out in the Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order (Northern Ireland) 2011 (SR 2011/119) where the beneficiary lives abroad. They prescribe that, where a question arises about the effect of that Order on a benefit already in payment, the altered rate will not apply until that query is resolved. The Regulations makes corresponding provision to Regulations made in Great Britain. The Regulations can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
