Inform an employee who has undergone a disciplinary process that no disciplinary penalty will be imposed
Key points
Where, following a disciplinary hearing, the employer decides that no disciplinary penalty should be imposed, it should inform the employee of this, and confirm it in writing, as soon as possible after the disciplinary hearing.
As a result of the disciplinary proceedings, the employer may decide that improvements to its organisational procedures and processes are appropriate.
