Take steps to ensure that the workforce is inclusive of lesbian, gay and bisexual people
Key points
Employers should strive to create an inclusive workplace for all of their employees, whatever their sexual orientation, which means taking steps to create an environment that is inclusive of lesbian, gay and bisexual people.
This applies regardless of whether or not there are any employees within the organisation who are openly lesbian, gay or bisexual. Most organisations will include lesbian, gay and bisexual people among their workforce and have lesbian, gay and bisexual clients, customers and service users, all of whom are likely to be offended by homophobia and biphobia.
