Acas publishes new draft Code

Acas has published a new draft Code of Practice on disciplinary and grievance procedures¹ to take account of the statutory procedures due to come into effect later this year (see DTI responds to public consultation on dispute resolution Regulations ).

The Code is admissible in evidence, and any relevant provision may be taken into account by a tribunal in deciding any question in the proceedings before it - for example, the procedural fairness of a dismissal.
