Boots Manufacturing: 3% basic increase

Approximately 800 production workers employed at Boots Manufacturing's Beeston site in Nottingham have agreed a pay and conditions settlement that improves basic rates by 3%, effective from 1 June 2007.

Shift allowances rise in line with the general award, and are now as follows:

  • two-shift - £2,662 a year;
  • two-shift (nine-day fortnights) - £2,395;
  • three-shift - £3,624;
  • permanent mornings - £820;
  • permanent afternoons – £3,278;
  • permanent nights – £4,349; and
  • alternating days and nights – £2,174.
