Employees at the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) received a settlement worth 3.52% of the paybill from 1 April 2005 in the third year of a three-year deal negotiated with PCS, Prospect and the First Division Association.
Employees whose performance was not fully satisfactory (category 3) received a basic increase of 2% of the pre-pay award maximum of their pay band.
