EU social partners launch negotiations on revision of Working Time Directive
On 14 November 2011, EU-level trade union and employers' organisations announced that they are opening negotiations over a possible agreement on amending the Working Time Directive.
In 2004, the European Commission proposed a Directive revising the Working Time Directive (originally adopted in 1994 and now consolidated in Directive 2003/88/EC).
