EU's tough line on pension tax
The European Commission is referring Spain to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) because of its discriminatory treatment of non-domestic pension arrangements. Spain does not allow contributions made to funds in other member states to be deducted for tax purposes, whereas monies paid to home country funds are offset against tax.
