Mastic asphalt industry raises rates by 4.75%

The latest national wage agreement for the mastic asphalt industry has increased minimum rates by 4.75%. The increases, effective from 25 June 2007, give a new minimum guaranteed wage of £306.39 for mixermen, potmen and classified labourers working a standard 39-hour week. As a result of the deal, the minimum guaranteed weekly wage for a spreader rises to £331.50.
