Following negotiations with company council elected representatives, Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK has agreed a two-year pay deal for all staff except senior managers, effective from 1 January 2005.
The first stage of the deal, effective for 12 months, awards 3,326 manufacturing and administrative staff a 4% basic pay rise.
