Case study: Making over managerial selection at Superdrug

Superdrug has revamped its store manager selection process to tie in with a change in overall business focus, introducing a competency-based personality questionnaire and moving the whole process online.

The questionnaire comprises nine personality scales, each of which is aligned with Superdrug's competency framework developed by the HR team. The questionnaire generates a report that highlights a candidate's personality and provides a breakdown for each of the competencies. It also provides suggested interview questions relating to each competency.

The change in recruitment process is to ensure the company finds the right candidates to support plans to expand from 730 to 1,000 stores.
