Spain: Pay settlements down to 1.3%

The average collectively agreed pay increase in Spain stood at 1.27% in the first four months of 2010, compared with an annual average of 2.41% in 2009, according to figures published by the ministry of labour and immigration in June.

Spain's main trade unions and employers' organisations signed a framework agreement in February 2010 providing guidelines for company- and sector-level collective bargaining over 2010-12.
