Are there any conditions or categories of work that fall outside the scope of the disability provisions of the Equality Act 2010?

The Equality Act 2010 (Disability) Regulations 2010 (SI 2010/2128) provide that an addiction to non-prescribed substances and certain other conditions (including: a tendency to set fires, steal, physically or sexually abuse other persons; exhibitionism; and voyeurism) are not to be treated as impairments for the purposes of the Equality Act 2010.

The employment provisions of the Act do not apply to service in the armed forces.
